  1. Wow, this would have been a hard article to write. I am a writer on Koh Samui and I often get to interview hotels, resorts and restaurants around the island and I would have a very tough time choosing my Top 5. I think it would change on a weekly basis…
The W retreat would have to be in there somewhere because their bar has what I feel is the best view on the island, the Conrad also has a spectacular view and Poppies or Rockys have a great atmosphere.

    Yup, very hard indeed.

  2. Zazen restaurant is one of my favourite. Dine on the terrace overlooking the sea or choose the exclusive panoramic floor with the Chef’s Table, and enjoy the very best of Mediterranean and Thai cuisine. The presentation is wonderfully artistic and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home.

  3. Zazen & Dining on the Rocks definitely for us. We haven’t tried the rest so can’t comment. Conrad as mentioned above was highly recommended when we had been there.

  4. very nice list and I definitely agree on the quality of Zazen restaurant as the food is simply exquisite!

  5. Very useful list, Thank you. If you prefer romantic dinner in Samui, Dining on The Rocks & Zazen is definitely the place you should visit.

  6. the cliff between chaweng and Lamai is awesome. great view, good food and service. a little like the cliff in St James barbados. i loved in samui 3 years any questions feel free to ask.
